Early Large Flowering Cultivar

Dark burgundy red with purple tones. A stunning color making it one of the most popular of all our varieties AND it is easy to grow! Stunning climbing a tall obelisk or up an over an arbor and equally beautiful twining its way up a trellis.
Bloom Time: Spring to fall.
Size: 6-9' tall.
Exposure: Best shaded from hot afternoon sun.
Pruning: In late January or early Feburary, cut back to around 2 feet high, to a pair of healthy buds. For a second spectacular flush of blooms, cut back again, by as much as one half after first bloom cycle. Dead-head as necessary to keep clean and tidy.
