Clematis 'Tranquilite'
Large, beautiful flowers that practically glow with a mystical light, like so many fallen stars. Fully double flowers with gently ruffled margins come to a sharp point, tinged the palest lavender with a bar of creamy ivory running down the center, all around a cluster of deep burgundy anthers. These incredible blooms can reach up to 4" across, practically covering the deep green, compact, vigorous climbing foliage. A fabulous choice for containers, patios, small planter boxes, and even hanging baskets! Pruning: In late January/early February, cut to 6-8” from ground level to a pair of buds. Then cut by half after the first flush of blooms is finished. Feed after each pruning session with well-balanced fertilizer.
