Clematis 'Sunset'

The gorgeous 4-6” flowers of this lovely variety are deep plum-red with purple highlights—resembling the colors of a magnificent sunset. Each textured petal has a satiny, cerise central bar and radiate out from the buttery-yellow stamens of in the center. Free-flowering ‘Sunset' is well suited for trellises, arbors or climbing up fences. And also works well in a large container

Size: 6-8' Tall
Pruning: We recommend pruning back hard in January/February to 18” or so, and then by half after the first flush of blooms to promote a new burst of fall flowers. Feed with a well balanced fertilizer (we love the 16-16-16 Maxsea) at pruning time.
