Clematis montana 'Elizabeth'
A member of the Montana group of Clematis, with hundreds of pale pink, sweetly scented, four petaled flowers framing a center of fluffy golden anthers. Despite the diminutive flowers, the vigorous foliage can grow absolutely massive if left to itself, and is wonderfully hardy and easy to grow. A winner of the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society, this much-beloved variety will astound year after year! Pruning: In late January/early February, cut to 6-8” from ground level to a pair of buds. Then cut by half after the first flush of blooms is finished. Feed after each pruning session with well-balanced fertilizer.
